33 Weeks
Holy smokes, we’re at 33 weeks!

The first part of this week was once again spent with family and friends in Rye. The annual family Christmas dinner was on Sunday–always fun! We drove back upstate on Tuesday to highs in the single digits and lows around -10. Brr! Unfortunately, Kurt caught the nasty holiday bug that is going around. He’s trying his best to keep me from getting it which is admirable, but also nearly impossible when you live together. Fingers crossed!
Development
BunBun is now the size of a junior tennis racket, 17-19 inches long, and could weigh 4-6 pounds. (At this point in pregnancy, there is a large variation in babies’ sizes, so the estimates get fuzzy.) He’s very close to his birth height/length. His bones are still forming and are relatively soft, but they will continue to harden. His brain is also developing more each day. He seems to be most awake and energized when I’m sitting down, trying to sleep, or in the car on a long drive.
My Pregnancy Experience
We’re (thankfully!) close to the point when I’ll (theoretically) stop getting bigger. Swollen feet continued into this week, followed by slightly swollen hands, but the acid reflux went away. BunBun is rolling around because I’ve been sitting still for too long, so I’m going to go figure out what to have for dinner! =)
