18 Weeks
Today marks 18 weeks!

Kurt was in San Francisco for work most of this week, and he was due to arrive home on Tuesday night. That morning, while messaging Kurt after a sleepless night, I felt BunBun’s movements for the first time! I thought I felt them a couple weeks ago, but there was no doubt on Tuesday. What a crazy, awesome experience! He’s shown off his skills a few more times since then, but the movements are not strong enough for Kurt to feel from the outside yet.
As far as house progress, we primed the ceilings in the nursery and our bedroom today. It’s so nice to have that out of the way. Now, to pick colors!
Development
BunBun is now the size of a sweet potato, about 5.5 inches long from crown to bum, and he weighs about 7 ounces. BunBun is kicking and rolling around harder than ever before. His facial features are starting to come together and he can now yawn, hiccup, and swallow. He’s beginning to develop a coating of myelin on his nerves, a substance that protects and facilitates the brain’s communication with the nervous system.
Symptoms
I had two monster headaches this week. I don’t remember the last time I had a headache, but I certainly didn’t miss them. Otherwise, I’ve been feeling great!
