Already at 16 weeks!

Another OB appointment today (#3). We heard the heartbeat again, and I had more blood drawn for more tests. We finished our visit with a tour of the birthing center that BunBun will be delivered in next year. It’s a nice place with private rooms and easy access to an operating room, if necessary. We learned that our parents will likely be the only relatives allowed in to see us after delivery since it will be during flu season. Womp, womp.

Yesterday, Dick and Kurt started working on framing the door to our guest room. It was every bit as challenging as Dick has feared, but the hard part is over. Kurt is now working on stripping the door before it gets hung on its hinges. Next will be the door to the nursery from the hallway!

Development

BunBun is now the size of an action figure or a pickle, about 4.5 inches long from crown to bum. He is kicking up a storm, and I think I felt it for the first time yesterday!

Symptoms

No action on this front, although varicose veins may be on the horizon.
