Today marks 14 weeks! On Tuesday, we received the results of the prenatal screening blood test and learned that there was no indication of common chromosome abnormalities. Great news to get first thing in the morning! The results also included the baby’s gender, but we’re putting off finding out until this weekend when we can have a little family BBQ. Later on Tuesday, we had our second OB appointment and heard BunBun’s heartbeat for the first time – a healthy 153 beats per minute!

Development

BunBun is now the size of a troll doll (ya know, the ones with the crazy hair!), about 3.5 inches long. (I’ve switched to toy and game size comparisons this week.)

This week has been a breeze. I like the second trimester so far!
