9 Weeks
Nine weeks already?!

We had our first official OB appointment yesterday. A student came in with the doctor and another student came in with the nurse so, with me and Kurt, that exam room was pretty crowded! We asked lots of questions, and they answered them all. The doctor assured me that Week 12 is coming up quick, and with it will come a decrease in nausea – leading to the “easiest” of the trimesters. We’re scheduled for our next appointment in August. (We’ll be able to listen to the heartbeat at that one!) Before leaving the clinic, we had to go down to the lab so they could draw five vials of blood for various tests – ugh!
Development
BunBun is now the size of a pecan, and it’s officially a fetus. Though not fully-formed, all of BunBun’s essential muscles and body parts are present. Although it’s eyelids are nearly developed enough to see, the eyelids will “fuse shut” for about another four months.
Symptoms
Late night nausea has been annoying, but solved with pretzels and crackers. The fatigue has subsided for the most part, but one nap a day does wonders!
